Fuel Cell powered vehicles are considered the future of road transport in Europe but are not widely available for customers in the market today.
Around 35 fuel cell hydrogen cars will be running during the demonstration phase of SWARM, starting in 2017, in three regions in Europe. Hydrogen filling stations in Brussels, Cologne, and Abergavenny, and 2 smaller refuelling stations in the West Midlands will be newly installed or re-certified to support the fleet.
The Technology pages (on the left side bar) give an overview about the vehicles and hydrogen filling stations that are part of the project, their technologies, and specifications.
